Just for You....{MCT Throwback Thursday}

Good Morning friends!
Today I am sharing a project for My Creative Time's
Throwback Thursday. This is where we use an older stamp/die set to make a project :)
Since Christmas is right around the corner, I thought I would make a simple treat holder using the older set~ Mini Stitched Lollipop Die
Take a look at my project and let me know what you think...

This mini lollipop die is perfect for those quick treat ideas! To make my treat, I die cut the lollipop die out with some red and white striped paper from my stash. I added a simple sentiment to the top, the scalloped die is also from this set and I used the small circle from the More Stitched Circle Dies set (also an older set)
The sentiment is from the Mini Christmas Greeting set and fits perfectly inside the scalloped and stitched circles.
A big silky bow tied in the back holds in my mini Original Gourmet Lollipop and also adds that extra decoration!
I hope you like my treat! It's always fun to dig through older sets to see what awesome stamps and dies you have!!

I appreciate you taking the time to stop by today! Make sure to check out the rest of the inspiration over on the MCT blog!
Have a GREAT Thursday everyone!!!

Gobble Gobble......{MCT Throwback Thursday}

Good Morning friends!
Today I am sharing a project for My Creative Time's
Throwback Thursday. This is where we use an older stamp/die set to make a project :)
Since Thanksgiving is right around the corner, I thought I would make a cute turkey tag using the older set Gobble Gobble
Take a look at my tag and let me know what you think...
Isn't that turkey so adorable?? I love him colored in with my copics!
To make my project, I started with the Super Tag Dies and actually made my tag so a message can be added inside as well.
I layered the tag with some brown scrap polka dot paper and then popped my colored turkey onto the front.
For the sentiment, I used the Ribbon End Banners, trimming the banner down so it fit onto my tag and stamped the sentiment onto the banner. The sentiment was added right under the turkey filling up the tag nicely.
To finish off my tag, I added some Kraft Trendy Twine and this project is ready to be given to that special "turkey" LOL!
Actually it would look adorable tied around a napkin as a place setting for Thanksgiving Dinner!

I appreciate you taking the time to stop by today! Make sure to check out the rest of the inspiration over on the MCT blog!
Have a GREAT Thursday everyone!!!

Happy First Day of School.....{MCT Throwback Thursday}

Good Morning everyone and welcome to another
My Creative Time~Throwback Thursday.
For this, the DT makes a project using older MCT stamps and dies.
Since it is almost time for the kiddos to head back to school, I made a fun treat that would be a cute idea for teachers and parents.
Take a look and let me know what you think.....
Making treats is one of my most favorite things to do! The Treat Holder Die is perfect for filling with yummy treats and decorating for any occasion.
To make my project, I die cut the Treat Holder Die and stamped the cute pencils from the All Around Everything set.
Next using the OLDER Scallop & Stitched Circle set, I die cut one layer in green and the top layer in white cardstock.
The sentiment, stamped from the You're All Write set was added to the center of the circle die and layered onto the scalloped die to add to the front of the Treat Holder Die.
Using the same pencil stamp, I die cut it and colored it in with my copics to pop up onto the front of the circle and scallop.
I added some green, yellow and red Sixlets and tied it all together with some Trendy Twine.

MCT Supplies Used:

Additional Supplies Used:
Kraft Cardstock
Totally Red & Totally Lemon Trendy Twine
Biggie Candy Bags~ Trendy Twine
Sixlets

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and check out my project!

Congratulations!......{MCT Throwback Thursday}

Good Morning everyone and welcome to another MCT DT post.
Today is Throwback Thursday and I am showcasing  perfect set for graduation season
Take a look at my card and let me know what you think.....
I made this card for my son's girlfriend who is graduating this year. Can you guess our school colors...LOL
I wanted to make this card CAS to have the focal point all on the grad hat.
To make my card I used a white cardstock base, added a layer of black cardstock and red designer paper both die cut using the More Stitched Rectangular Dies.
I used the Grad Night set to stamp the sentiment onto the designer paper and they die cut the grad hat in our school colors.
I popped the grad hat up onto a Stitched Circle die and the popped the circle die cut onto the card front.
I simple white Trendy Twine bow completed my card.
The perfect graduation card that can be used for any school simply by changing up the color combo.

As always, thanks for stopping by my blog!
Make sure to head over to the MCT blog for more inspiration!
Have a GREAT Thursday!!

MCT Throwback Thursday~"Do Over"

Good Morning and Happy Thursday everyone!
Welcome to "Throwback Thursday~Do Over" with My Creative Time
where we share projects we have redone from the past, using MCT stamps and dies of course.
My card today is actually a redo pulling 2 different cards I made not to long ago, combining them using all MCT products and adding a few new techniques I have learned from a few online card classes I have taken. Lets take a look.

Here is my new card. I am really quite impressed with how it turned out and think it would be great to make a few of these to have in my stash.
Thanks to SEVERAL of my DT sisters for enabling me, I ordered myself a MISTI. OMG this makes stamping so much easier!!!!! I am totally in love with it and can't wait to play with it more :)
Anyways when the idea for my card popped into my head, I used my MISTI to make sure all my chevron stamps lined up perfectly. I actually stamped a few additional card mats to put more of these cards together. I used some new Ranger Dye Inks for the chevrons in beautiful blue colors and once all my chevron lines were stamped I die cut the mat using the Stitched Rectangular Die.
Then for the "thanks" I used the new die set from this last release~Hello Frame Dies and die cut is on a piece of black cardstock layered on some fun foam. That way when I went to add it to my card, there was already a fun popped up look to the piece which also adds some great dimension and texture.
Since using thread is really "in" right now, I added a next of some silver thread to add under my banner sentiment. Again for more added texture~which I just LOVE!
To finish my card off, I took some silver glitter spray and added some splotches. It looks so fun and shimmery in person and matches the silver thread embellishment as well.

Now these are my card redo's. I Linked each of the pictures to the original post incase you want to head back to check them out!
For this card I used the thread and the placement of the Speech Bubble sentiment as the inspiration for my re-do card. Don't forget that this Speech Bubble set is on sale all this month so if it is on your wishlist now is the perfect time to pick it up HERE

And this card is really where my re-do started. I wanted to stamp the chevrons instead of die cutting them like in the above card. 2 very different cards but loving how the new one turned out just as much as this one!

A Big Robot "Hello"

Hi Blogger Buddies!!
If you are looking for the Grillin & Chillin Bug Hop you can click here.

I have been busy taking advantage of the beautiful weekend we have been blessed with but in between working outside in the garden, taking care of the chickens and playing Lego with the boys I did get some more crafting in.

I made this robot card with 2 challenges in mind.
Flaunt it Fridays: #25 Robotz Anything Goes
&
Throwback Thursday- Green and Yellow

The robot is from guess what cart?!?! Robotz of course and it is one of those super cute carts but just seems to be forgotten about.
He is cut at 4" and accented with my white gel pen and some google eyes.
I used My Creative Time stamps for the sentiment-- This and That--which I actually just won from Emma.
These are such great stamps and they are on my list to order some more of her stamps.
All the paper for this A2 card is from my scrap pile.
I tied some green and brown twine around the side and ta-da I had my card.
Hope you like my card.
Make sure you come back tomorrow when I post my first Paper Playtime DT card! And I will announce the winner for my blog candy from the Grillin' and Chillin' Bug Hop.

Have a great night and see you all tomorrow!
