Bulldogs Football LO.......{Inspiration Wednesday w/MCT}

Good Morning and Happy Hump day everyone!

 It is time for another
Wednesday Inspiration with My Creative Time
where the DT makes a project of our choice based on an inspiration subject.

My inspiration for today's project is my son Casey :)
He is currently in the 8th grade and playing football for both the town we live in as well as Modified for the school. Let's back it up a bit and I will tell you his story.
This is his 3rd year playing football. He spends a lot of time in the yard playing ball with his brother, friends and my husband. When he said he wanted to play football for a team we thought that would be awesome! It is pretty popular among his friends and in our town so we signed him up. The first year he played..he didn't see a whole lot of the field. Just they way it was with the coach and seeing that he was a newbie he was played his "required" by the organization, which was at least 5 plays and then when we played "b" games. BUT that didn't discourage him. He was a lineman and wanted to try other positions as well. SO he went up to the coach and asked if he could try playing center and snapping the ball. The coach let him try it...he turned out to be pretty good and then became the second string center. He was excited.
Last year that was his starting position. He worked his tail off during the summer...practicing his snaps with my husband and come game time it sure showed. He was again super excited with his season. The quarterback's dad asked Casey last year to make sure he played Modified this year because they did not have a center :) Well he was already planning on it and would have played last year but it was kinda known that 7th graders don't play that much so he waited until this year.
Now fast forward to this year....he is the starting center for the Bulldogs which is our town's team as well as the starting center for Modified!
So this LO is for him, to show him how proud I am of him and all his hard work. Also to show that with determination and motivation you really can be the best you can be!
Now for the details on my project :) Their football colors are Black and Maroon so I went with those, using a maroon cardstock base and a fun football designer paper mat. I did add a decorative stitching frame around the outside for a little extra detail.
I printed out 2 pictures of Casey from his last game, die cut them out using the new (sneak-peek) Rectangle die. I matted it on white cardstock and again on black (also die cut using the rectangle die)

For the "Bulldogs" I die cut 2 sets of letters using the Uppercase Fun Dies. Once in maroon and again in white so I could shadow them. I embellished this section with some enamel dots as well.

To finish my LO off, I added the year using the Number Fun Dies, again cutting them 2 times so I could shadow them. I stamped the sentiment onto the frame from the new Love to Learn set and used the outside of the frame to make a rectangle piece. I love the stitching that Emma adds to her dies and wanted to use both the inside and outside of the cuts.
Finally I stamped my sentiment using the perfect wording for my LO from the Sports Sentiments set. A few more enamel dots and this was completed.

Scrapping the Little Things.....w/MCT

Good Morning everyone!!
Welcome to "Scrapping the Little Things" with My Creative Time
where we share Project Life, Smash book or Scrapbook LO's using MCT stamps and dies!
*************************
For today's "Scrapping the Little Things", the DT was given this inspiration photo to base our projects on
and since this past weekend was the 4th of July and we always spend it at my in~laws cottage on Lake Chautauqua, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to scrap one of my FAVORITE pictures I took of my oldest son Casey tubing. I think he would spend all day riding around if we gave him the chance...LOL!

So here is my smash page.....
I used TONS of MCT products for my page and I always forget how rewarding it is to complete a page. I really need to make time to create more pages to fill up my book. I know I have the best intention when I snap these pictures :)
I ended up using the colors from the photo and the water from the picture as my inspiration for this page. I had a bunch of pictures I took with my FIL and hubs took him out and LOVE how the photobooth die let me add a few of them while still having my page focus on that great picture of Casey. I added just a few extra elements to this page, the machine stitching to the banner pieces and some random sequins but let all the awesome MCT stamps and dies do the story telling :)

Guest Designer Post~Just B Creative Crazy!!

Morning Bloggers!!
I am so excited to be helping out one of my blogging blends~
while she is in the process of moving.

If  you have been following my last few weeks posts, I was asked to make a scrapbook for
the principle of my boy's school who is retiring in July.
Of course I jumped at the opportunity and wanted to share 2 more pages I have created

My oldest son is graduating from 5th grade and heading into the middle school next year.
He is in the band, plays the Base Clarinet as well as sings in the chorus.
Last week was their spring concert...everyone was amazing and then the Principle got up
and sang a song....solo in parts with the entire 4th and 5th grade chorus.
WOW!!
We knew he could hold a tune but was amazed that he did this in front of all the parents as well.
All of us PTO members were snapping away pictures like crazy and I was given these 2 to add to the book.
The caption under him reads
"A standing ovation was on my bucket list too"
and a standing ovation he got!!

I am making this entire scrapbook using kraft cardstock for the base and leaving lots of empty space because this will be laid out at his reception for everyone to sign and write well wishes on.

Supplies Used:
Card Stock~ Kraft and Black
Designer Paper~ Recollections (?)
Music notes
Cuts~ Cameo for
Music notes and file folder (Lori Whitlock)
Extra's~ Creative Inspirations Paint for Heart
in Garnet
Lettering from my stash

I hope you have enjoyed my LO
and thanks to Beckie for allowing me to share my project on her blog!!

EAD Designs Blog Hop!

Good Morning Everyone!!
It is Monday and time for our EAD Designs Blog Hop!

This is my first post as a new DT member~ Yippee
and we are joined this month with Lauren as our Guest Designer!
Welcome Lauren....looking forward to seeing all your craftiness this month!!

You should be coming from
Jenn's

For my project today I wanted to use these adorable
Camp Trip Stickerz
Camp Trip

Way back in 2007 we took a camping trip to Crater Of Diamonds State Park
I had yet to scrap this adventure...yeah I know it has been a long time since that trip
and these stickerz were the perfect embellishment for my LO
So I apologize...this is alittle picture heavy.... but here is my whole 12 x 12 LO
See all the adorable EAD Designs Stickerz?

Here are my 2 little men... I can not believe how little they look!
I used the cute little camper boy...that I had printed on clear and backed him on vintage Cream PTI card stock. He was then fussy cut along with all my other stickerz and pop dotted up for some added dimension.

I could not get over how perfect these stickerz matched the photo's I printed!
My 3 boys around the campfire...toasting marshmallows of course!

Look at how cute these stickerz are!

Such great added elements they added to my LO!

Besides these adorable stickerz
I used card stock in Orange Zest,  Dark Chocolate and True Black from PTI
Designer paper from a mini 6 x 6 pack that I had in my stash~ sorry don't know where it came from :(
white gel pen for doodles
Letters cut from Cindy Loo cartridge
Journaling done on my computer
and
brads from my stash

I am so happy with the way this LO turned out!
Hope you like it also :)

Now sorry for the LONG post.....
time to hop over to
I can not wait to see what she has in store for us...she is also a new DT member so lets give her a nice big welcome also!!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a GREAT day!!
