Another Twisted Easel Card~~ Happy Father's Day w/Bugaboo stamp

Hi Everyone!

I really LOVED making the twisted easel card yesterday that I wanted to make another. This one is alot simpler than yesterday's but just as cute...I think!

The image is from Bugaboo Stamps. I have so say they have some of the cutest digis!

I was asked to make a Father's Day card for a good friend. He is a HUGE baseball fan and has 2 boys so this image was perfect.

The image is colored with my copics and the stamp is from Studio G.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Twisted Easel Card~~ Birthday Wishes

Hi Bloggers!
This is my last post for today. I have been B~U~S~Y today.
Working outside in the sunshine and craftin' in between :)

I was watching a tutorial on Cardz TV with Mary on how to make this twisted easel card. As I was blog hopping I found a bunch of challenges that I thought would fit this card.

My first time making one of these cards and I have to say that besides being really easy to make, they look awesome when completed!
~~here is my completed card open~~

~~~my card closed~~
So what do you think?
I really love how this turned out....especially for my first attempt.
So for the details:
The card is an A2 size with both inside and outside mat measuring 4" x 5 1/4".
The cut is from Simple Charmed and it was cut at 3". I hid the face and instead added some white stitching. To add dimension to the cake I popped up the 1st layer as well as the candles and flames.
The banner is a stamp and inside the banner I stamped 4 U. They are strung with red bakers twine.
The inside of the card is very simple. The sentiment is from Fiskars and that too is up on foam dots with some stitching around the mat. There was originally just going to be buttons that were used to hold open the card but I liked how the stamped image raised worked better.
I also added another smaller mat to add another birthday note.
There you have it...my first attempt and for sure not my last with the twisted easel card.
This card is for the following challenges:
Catered Crop- FTR #13
Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog- Something on a Spool
Getting Cricky- Simply Sunday Challenge~Banner
Birthday Sundaes-#11 Masculine Birthday
Bitten By the Bug 2- Birthday Cake
Thanks for stopping by and see you all tomorrow :)
There is also a challenge at BugBites that my card for today is being entered into.
The challenge is to make a project with the hidden bug from the hop.
This is a simple A2 card with the scrap paper from my caddy that I did for this hop.
The ants are a SVG free file from SVGcuts.com and the sentiment is from Block Party.
The sentiment is cut at 3" and the ants at 1".
The ants are attached up on foam dots and the sentiment has some simple gel pen details.
Again a very simple card but so cute!
Have a GREAT day and see you all later!
~~~Paper Playtime Digi Monday~~

Good Morning Bloggers!
I hope everyone is having a GREAT weekend, spending time with family and friends and eating too much yummy summer food!

Today is my first post on the Paper Playtime Digi Team. I am so excited to be able to share my card using the digi image from  Di's Digi Downloads.
Check out all the great images this site has to offer. You will love them just like I do :)
.
The challenge for this week is to make a project with the
Wedding/Love theme.

I made this easy gate fold 5 x 5 card and used the paper from one of my favorite stacks...
DCVW ~~The Black Currant Stack~~
The cute digi is from Di's Digi Downloads and was colored with my copics.
I added some bling with my i-rock in all the corners

and the inside has a simple stamped sentiment
~~Congratulations~~

So now it is your turn...I would love to see your Wedding/Love themed card. This is the season for weddings and even though I know no one getting married it is always nice to have a card on hand just in case :)
Don't forget to link it up over at Paper Playtime and while you are there check out with the other DT members created. I know there is tons of inspiration to be seen.

A Big Robot "Hello"

Hi Blogger Buddies!!
If you are looking for the Grillin & Chillin Bug Hop you can click here.

I have been busy taking advantage of the beautiful weekend we have been blessed with but in between working outside in the garden, taking care of the chickens and playing Lego with the boys I did get some more crafting in.

I made this robot card with 2 challenges in mind.
Flaunt it Fridays: #25 Robotz Anything Goes
&
Throwback Thursday- Green and Yellow

The robot is from guess what cart?!?! Robotz of course and it is one of those super cute carts but just seems to be forgotten about.
He is cut at 4" and accented with my white gel pen and some google eyes.
I used My Creative Time stamps for the sentiment-- This and That--which I actually just won from Emma.
These are such great stamps and they are on my list to order some more of her stamps.
All the paper for this A2 card is from my scrap pile.
I tied some green and brown twine around the side and ta-da I had my card.
Hope you like my card.
Make sure you come back tomorrow when I post my first Paper Playtime DT card! And I will announce the winner for my blog candy from the Grillin' and Chillin' Bug Hop.

Have a great night and see you all tomorrow!

Grillin' & Chillin' Bug Hop!!

Welcome to BugBites first ever Bug Hop, Grillin’ & Chillin’ Bug Hop!
To celebrate the beginning of summer, Barb over at BugBites is hosting two consecutive weekends of Bug Hops.
This weekend it is all about the Grillin’, May 28-30.
If you've come from visiting Amber at Pixi Perfect Creations you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Grillin’ & Chillin’ Bug Hop, click HERE to start from the beginning.

Each designer along the bug trail is featuring a project based on the Grillin’ & Chillin’ theme. What’s more exciting is you can participate too by creating a project and linking it up over at BugBites for a chance to win a Big Prize.

But, there’s a twist. Your project must included at least one Cricut cut and at least one of the critters that have been hidden within some of the bug stop blogs.

Be sure to visit all the bug stops to find all your critter choices.

While you are looking for the critters, be sure to check out the blog candy that each designer has to offer you. You don't want to miss out on any of it!

For my project I made a must have caddy for all your BBQ's

This is a 4pk root beer container that I covered with red checkered paper. Fun and easy right?!?
I inked the edges with fire brick ink.
The sentiment was made with SCAL and I welded the letters.
The Grill is also an SVG file cut with SCAL. I "hung" the utensils with brads and added alittle extras with my gel pen.

I also made an invite to a BBQ

I just got the Block Party lite cart and this cute burger and sentiment was on it along with other summer BBQ images.
I used the same paper as the caddy for the matting of this A2 card.
I dug through my stamp collection and mixed and matched to get the stamped image.
If I do say so myself....I really like this card. Makes me want to have a BBQ and invite you all :)

Now for my blog candy:

I have this Brag Book Kit~~Travel~~ by Deja Views
Since this is a holiday weekend and I know some of you will be traveling, you can scrap your journey with this 45 piece set. There is everything you need to make this cute mini included.

~~~Whimsical Wednesday Challenge #8~~~
Good Morning Bloggers!!
It is that time again...Whimsical Wednedays new Challenge.
This weeks Challenge #8 is to make a Tag and Bling it up.
You have to check out what the other DT members created. You will be amazed at all this wonderful talent.
This is my 1st time making a tag and I know for sure it will not be my last!
They are so much fun to make :)
Since we have been getting such beautiful strawberries around here I though I would make a tag to attach to a gift basket I plan on give my bestie.
The other day she made the best strawberry shortcake with homemade whip cream for my boys and they were in HEAVEN!
Needless to say we ate all her strawberries so I am going to replenish her with all the ingredients to make another round.
The tag itself is a #8 size (6 1/4 x 3 1/8)
I  added Jillibean Soup cardstock  from the Chilled Strawberry Soup collection in Light Corn Syrup. I just LOVE this pattern paper and all the paper in this collection!
Once the paper was attached I lightly inked around the outside.
The strawberries were cut from the Simply Charmed cart in 2 1/2". I used my gypsy to hide the face and instead ran it through my cuttlebug with swiss dots and then blinged it up with stickles.
The sentiment is from Unity Stamps and Jillibean Soup called Sweetest Day.
I have used this stamp set on a recent card and I just LOVE it!
I attached the sentiment with a binder clip and also covered the top with more pattern paper.
There is green seam binding, scrap red and white ribbon and all that is held on with a sparkly brown brad.
So there is my blinged up tag. I hope you like it and want to play along with us this week at Whimsical Wednesdays.
Remember you have 2 full weeks to get your project completed and linked up.
Thanks for stopping by and I can't wait to see what you all create.
6 Baby Cards---Using Bugaboo Stamps
Hi Bloggers!
I am going to try and get this post completed before the power goes out here....There is a HUGE thunderstorm moving very fast into the area.
I had these super cute Bugaboo stamps that were perfect baby card images. Also some paper that I picked up on clearance that has been waiting for the perfect image.
Light bulb...hehehe...I decided to make some very simple baby cards.
I do not know of anyone who is having a baby but just felt like making some cards.
So I took the two images and 3 different designer papers and made some A2's.
The images are colored with my copics and I added some buttons, ribbon, twine and gel pen stitching for extra details.
The great thing about these cards is I have enough paper left over to make 2 more of each card.
I don't like wasting paper and my scrap pile is growing daily so using as much as I can from a page is the best.
I hope you like my very simple, easy baby cards. Now I just have to find someone who is having a baby :)
Thanks for stopping by....see you all tomorrow
 Hi Bloggers! I am continuing my Create a Critter cards for the
Love That Bug Challenge and here is my card for today. This is card #39 and if you have been by the last few days I am going backwards...I am trying to make as many cards as I can before the series is up which is coming really soon.
This card is with the Hedgehog, flowers, ladybug and phase which is a flower and circle. I used paper from my scrap pile which happens to be recollection and kraft paper for the card base.
I did add sparkly brads to the center of the flowers and one layer on each flower is popped up with foam dots.
White gel pen stitching and a stamped sentiment
I so love how this card turned out. Very girlie which I like.
In Stacy's series she does not use stamps but I did add a stamped birthday sentiment which is perfect for a little girl. The stamp is from My Pink Stamper- Pink-alicious set.
So this card will be entered into the following challenges:
Love that Bug- Create a Critter #39
Claudia & Company- Challenge #82- Girls Birthday
I hope you like my card....see you all tomorrow
Create a Critter #40--You Sly Fox :)
Here is my last post for tonight...
This is the Create a Critter #40 card for Love that Bug series.
The only extras I added were some googly eyes and stitching. This card is super cute and super easy!!
Create a Critter #41--Turtle -- Hidden Message Card
 Back for post #3 of the day.
This has got to be my favorite card I have done so far with this Create a Critter Series
First of all the turtle is so cute..right
Secondly I made a card style I have never tried..a hidden message card. I had never even heard of this before this also.
This card has all plain paper....no pattern paper
Everything is from the create a critter cart, the page with the turtle
Only added thing to this card is my white gel pen and a black pen
So your basic gate fold card right?
Looks like it..
But look there is a hidden message page. How cool is that?
I really loved making this card and will come back to this again!
I am entering this over at
Card Cupids -Challenge #25--No pattern paper
Create a Critter #42 Tweet...Tweet
 Hi Everyone...This is the 2 of 4 posts I have for today
This is Create a Critter #42--The cute bird and the birdhouse. I am following along with Love that Bug and her series.
This is a very basic card...with cuts only and alittle gel pen stitching. I actually used all scrap paper and the card base is one I already had precut for a card. It worked out so well :)
Isn't the worm just the cutest!
Create a Critter #43--Lady Bug
 Hi everyone!
I recently came across this super blog--
Love that Bug- and Stacy has posted super cute projects!!
She is having a HUGE challenge. To make a project with every page in the Create a Critter booklet. With this she uses all the cuts and incorporates them into the card.
So the challenge and a HUGE giveaway is to make the card using the same page and all the cuts..following along with her videos.
Since I just came across this blog I have completed 4 of the 43 cards she has done already.... BUT I do plan on making as many of them as I can not only to get me better familiar with the cart...the prize at the end is AWESOME!!
Every time you link up a project your name gets entered...so there will be 50 projects and 50 chances to win.
The best thing about this series and challenge is we are going back to basic supplies...paper and a marker and the cricut. Yes I have added some little details but nothing I had to purchase and most things I had around anyways
This is my card for Create a Critter #43---The super cute LadyBug
This is a simple gate fold card...A2 card
I did add some glitter to the antenna and around the heart. Also some stitching around the front. I made some skittles and added them to the corners. The lady bug is up on some foam dots
For the inside I used my white gel pen for some doodles on the sentiment and my green copic for the leaves.
Didn't this card come out super cute?!? I really love it
It's a Linking Party :)
Hi Bloggers!!
Guess what?!?! It is still raining here and will be for the entire week! I had wanted to get so much done outside, my husband took the week off to work on the garden and we can do NOTHING outside :(
Hoping for a break to at least do alittle planting but it is not looking too good.
So instead we are cleaning the garage..sounds like fun right?!?! Needed to get done for sure!
Anyways I made a card to "Celebrate" this fun linking party!
Alex over at You Had Me at Craft has been working so hard to get this fun linky party together and I can't wait to join in!
This is my card I made for today
I used the free SVG file
Cheryl's Sweet Treats Mini SVG Collection
and cut the cupcake and the banner from the set.
It is a pretty simple card and was very easy to put together!
I stamped the sentiment from the Fiskar's Birthday Stamp set
Used my cuttlebug-- Divine Swirls to the "frosting" and my crimper for the wrapper.
Everything is up on foam dots for alittle extra dimensions.
So I hope you like my card for today and if you get a chance hop over and visit Alex and link up!
I can't wait to hop around, visit the other blogs linked and find some more great inspiration!
Scrap Paper Clean Up, Copic Marker Storage Solution & A Card :)
It is a crappy day here....raining like CRAZY and flood watches all around.
What to do on a Sunday like this....play with paper of course :)
I thought my boys would be beating eachother up by now but they are playing sooo good with Legos. I really love days like this! Everyone is happy and I am getting tons done! (I still have a long list  but slowly things are getting done)
I wanted to share a tip that I saw over at DoubleClick Connections-AKA ABusyBee. Carrie had a GREAT tip on using all that scrap designer paper which I am sure we all have a ton of!
Cut it all down to the size you use the most for your cards. I make alot of A2 cards so I cut my scrap down to 4 x 5 1/4. (Alittle smaller that the standard A2 size which is  4 1/4 x 5 1/2)
ended up with this :)
started with this
Now I only went through 1/4 of my paper but already I feel like I can create so much with what I already have cut down.
This is the card I created from my scrap find! I really love this paper and you sometimes tend to forget what you have laying around when the scrap piles get really big...like mine.
The paper is K & Company Faded China Paper Pad and the card is an A2 base with the pattern paper cut at 4 x 5 1/4. I added a simple black ribbon and made my own stick pins (again another tip from Carrie)
I made a rosette with the coordinating paper and stamped the sentiment with My Pink Stamper's Pinka-licious set.
I am going to enter this card over at Birthday Sundaes-use at least 3 circles
Lastly I was searching for a better way to store my growing collection of copics without spending the big bucks and being able to see all the colors in their grouping better. I think I found the perfect solution.
I found these pencil boxes at Target today. They came in 3 different colors and I bought one of each color. They have 4 divided sections and I used a small binder clip to hold them all together. Then I was able to separate by color and see what I have. I will go back and get at least another one...there are a few colors together because I ran out of room. I really love the find and the solution!!
Thanks for stopping by and see you all tomorrow :)
