Grillin' & Chillin' Bug Hop!!

Welcome to BugBites first ever Bug Hop, Grillin’ & Chillin’ Bug Hop!
To celebrate the beginning of summer, Barb over at BugBites is hosting two consecutive weekends of Bug Hops.
This weekend it is all about the Grillin’, May 28-30.
If you've come from visiting Amber at Pixi Perfect Creations you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Grillin’ & Chillin’ Bug Hop, click HERE to start from the beginning.

Each designer along the bug trail is featuring a project based on the Grillin’ & Chillin’ theme. What’s more exciting is you can participate too by creating a project and linking it up over at BugBites for a chance to win a Big Prize.

But, there’s a twist. Your project must included at least one Cricut cut and at least one of the critters that have been hidden within some of the bug stop blogs.

Be sure to visit all the bug stops to find all your critter choices.

While you are looking for the critters, be sure to check out the blog candy that each designer has to offer you. You don't want to miss out on any of it!

For my project I made a must have caddy for all your BBQ's

This is a 4pk root beer container that I covered with red checkered paper. Fun and easy right?!?
I inked the edges with fire brick ink.
The sentiment was made with SCAL and I welded the letters.
The Grill is also an SVG file cut with SCAL. I "hung" the utensils with brads and added alittle extras with my gel pen.

I also made an invite to a BBQ

I just got the Block Party lite cart and this cute burger and sentiment was on it along with other summer BBQ images.
I used the same paper as the caddy for the matting of this A2 card.
I dug through my stamp collection and mixed and matched to get the stamped image.
If I do say so myself....I really like this card. Makes me want to have a BBQ and invite you all :)

Now for my blog candy:

I have this Brag Book Kit~~Travel~~ by Deja Views
Since this is a holiday weekend and I know some of you will be traveling, you can scrap your journey with this 45 piece set. There is everything you need to make this cute mini included.
To be eligible for this prize you must:
1. Become a Follower of my blog (well you don't have to but I would love it if you did)
2. Tell me what your plans are for this upcoming Memorial Day.
3. Leave me a way to contact you in case you are the lucky winner.
I will randomly select the winner on Monday :)

Your next stop is Dana's blog, Imagine what You Could Do. You will want to  see what she has in store for you today.

Remember, once you have hopped to all the bug stops, it's your turn to show us your Grillin’ & Chillin’ project.

Make sure to include a Cricut cut somewhere on your project, include one of the hidden critters and link up your project over at BugBites by Midnight CST May 30 to be eligible for the big prize.

  6. I'm totally in LOVE with your caddy! I'm going to be searching for a reason to make one now (no cookouts planned, unfortunately). I'm thinking it's a great idea for the food table at a baby shower -- something compact and cute to hold utensils.

My plans this weekend? Hubby is helping friends move today, and I plan to Cricut!

I've seen your creations around challenges, and I'm glad to be a follower now. Happy Memorial Day weekend!
