Feel Better Soon!...{MCT Manly Monday}

Good Morning everyone and welcome to
Manly Monday!
For today's card I went with one of my new  favorite stamp sets~Ouch! to make a get well card for one of the boys on my son's baseball team. He took a pretty hard hit ball to the eye on Friday night at our tournament and ended up needing 5 stitches. They boys were very concerned about their teammate so I came home after this happened, made the card and took it back to the baseball diamond the next day for the kids to sign.

So to make my card, I went with our team colors...red, black and white. I used the Stitched Squares Inside and Out for the red layer, making my card about a 4 1/2x 4 1/2. I used some versamark ink to stamp the little band-aids onto the cardstock making my own background.
Next I die cut his number using the Pretty Bold Numbers, die cut the large band-aid in some red designer paper and die cut another square using white cardstock.
To get the ripped edge on the white cardstock, I used the More Stitched Edges Die.
To finish my card, I stamped the sentiment from the Ouch! set, popped the white ripped piece up with some foam dots and attached the band-aid over the the edge.

The boys also wanted to show some more support for their teammate so they all wore his number on their helmets all weekend. Love that they are such a caring group!!!

Ouch!.....{MCT Inspire Me Wednesday}

Good Morning and welcome to another
Inspire Me Wednesday with My Creative Time!

My inspiration today came from  Pinterest.
I found this cute card from Jennifer McGuire HERE and used the inspiration to make my own version of a get well card using all MCT stamps and dies.
Take a look...
How super adorable are those band-aids?? I just LOVE all the images in this new release and can see using them alot for cute get well cards!
For this card I wanted it to look like the band-aids were covering up some stitches (LOL) so I pulled out my sewing machine to get some zig zag holes. Next I threaded my needle and hand stitched the X's
Those band-aids were then stamped and die cut using some cutie designer paper from Snap.
They were then popped up onto the front of the card over my stitches.
The sentiment was stamped and the front of my card was complete.
Here is the inside of my card! Love having the inside match the outside :)

OMG these images are just beyond ADORABLE!
I went along the CAS line to really highlight the pineapple image with this cutie sunglasses!
I first stamped and then die cut the pineapple. Using my copics I colored him in. He totally needed to be "cool" since this card will be heading to a sweet friend, so I die cut the fun sunglasses to pop up onto him.
I added some silver thread and a few pearl dots for added embellishing.
I am totally loving the font on that sentiment as well also from the Berry Special stamp set.
