Happy Halloween......{TKJ Sketch Challenge #140}

Good Morning and Happy Monday everyone!!!
It is time for a new challenge over at
And this week the challenge is:
A Sketch Challenge
based on the sketch as seen below

I LOVE working with sketches and here is my inspiration!
Sure hope you like it!!

I wanted to make a Halloween card..seeing that tomorrow is October 1st and it is almost Halloween time. Plus I thought this sketch would look so adorable with an image made to look like the circle was a moon. So with that being said, I ran with that image in my head and found the cutest digi from Some Odd Girl to work with.
Meet Witchy Tia...isn't she adorable??? I took her into my Silhouette Studio, traced her and then made a frame around her so I could have a nice border for her. After she was cut out, I colored her using my copic markers and then set her aside to assemble my card.
I used a piece of Blackboard Stock Paper as my card base and then added my layers of designer papers from My Minds Eye~ Mischievous paper pack. Again using my Cameo, I cut 2 circles, one in the matching designer paper and another using more of the Blackboard Stock Paper. Once my layers were all cut, I ran the mat through my sewing machine adding 2 different stitches and then adhering it to my card base. For the sentiment, I used My Creative Time~Vintage Stitched Label Die for the banner and then the Fright Night stamp set for the sentiment. Once the banner was in place, I added the "31" from the Mini Numerals pack using foam pop dots for a bit more dimension. Finally Witchy Tia was added to the card, again using some foam pop dots and I further embellished with some mini bat punches.

So there you have it....
my inspiration for this week's challenge.
I hope you have enjoyed my card and will play along with us!
As always I have linked all the supplies I used from The Kraft Outlet throughout my description.  If you have not checked out the store yet....make sure you do! There is so much available, the prices are so reasonable and shipping is super fast!!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT Monday!!

Thanksgiving Table Place Cards & a Winner!!....... {PKS Challenge}

Good Morning Everyone!!
I have a project to share today that I made for the currently Peachy Keen Stamps challenge. I have to say this challenge really threw me for a few days.

According to Wikipedia a Potluck dinner is a gathering of people where each person or group of people may contribute a dish of food prepared by the person or the group of people, to be shared among the group.

I thought this would be a great opportunity to get a jump on this year's Thanksgiving place cards and since I host Thanksgiving every year and other's bring dishes to pass, I pulled out some of my PKS that were food related and made the following 6 place cards.
Now that I started these I will have to make the rest that match our meal. Those will come as it gets closer to Thanksgiving time.

Anyways here they are...please click on the pic if you want to see the group larger. I did take additional pics of them individually so that will help too :)

Here are all 6 together! I had so much fun picking the images I wanted to use along with the papers that were all fall related.  I will take you through each one now so you can see them up close...sorry about the below average pictures...I took them last night with very poor lighting..

The base layers are all the same for each place card. I used Kraft Cardstock, MCT Stitched Journal Die and the Vintage Label die along with pattern papers from Echo Park. Since I didn't have the matching SVG for this adorable corn, I decided to make my own. I love the border that is around that corn :) I finished this off my bringing out my sewing machine for a little stitching and stamping the "corn" minus the "Y" for the label.

Here is my turkey. I did the same thing for the base and again made my own SVG for that adorable Turkey. I paper pieces part of him and then colored the rest using my copic markers, some white gel pen and chalk.

How super adorable is this pumpkin??? Don't you just love his face...LOL!!! I didn't have a "pumpkin" sentiment stamp from PKS so I used a part of a MCT stamp instead.  Again I made the SVG for this cutie too!!

I LOVE these faceless fruit from PKS and I used the matching sentiment set for the "apple". All the sentiments I used are parts of longer sentiments, so I did a bit of masking to get the wording I wanted.

Not really sure how much Ketchup fits into the Thanksgiving theme, but I couldn't pass up using these adorable condiment bottles...That was my original thought too...to use "Condiments" as my sentiment...but love the font and look of the Ketchup sentiment so I went with that.

Finally here is the last place card. My cute cherry. I think these will look adorable sitting next to each of the fruit pies, the corn and of course the turkey.
What do you think???

Color Challenge .....{TKJ #139}

Good Morning and Happy Monday everyone!!!
It is time for a new challenge over at
And this week the challenge is:
A Color one based on this gorgeous picture!

And here is my inspiration! Sure hope you like it!!
I started my card out with a piece of Light Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock  and covered it with a layer of designer paper from Recollections~ Harvest Delight Paper Pack. Then using some burlap I had in my stash I attached it to my card using a zig zag pattern stitch on my sewing machine. Next for the pumpkins I brought out my Cottage Cuts Pumpkin Trio dies and die cut 2 of the different pumpkins using matching designer papers also from the Harvest Delight Paper Pack. For the leaves, I used another one of my favorite dies~ the Stitched Leaf Die from My Creative Time and some beautiful wool felt from my stash. To finish off my pumpkins, I used matching brads from Recollections and some Earthy Hemp Cord.
Finally to complete my card I used a Tim Holtz Memo Pin, stuck it in between the pumpkins and through the burlap, die cut the tag using a piece of Light Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock and stamped the sentiment from My Creative Time~ Piles of Smiles stamp set.

Now onto my project!!

I sure hope you like it!!!
Isn't this just too adorable??? I LOVE the CUTE Gator which is this week's freebie file and the fun color combo...don't you? I used a white card base and designer paper from Lilybee Designs~Persnickety paper pack. I ran the mat through my sewing machine for the zig zag pattern, but before that I added some 3GJ Witch's Brew crinkle ribbon so the ribbon was held down by the sewing. Next I used the PPPR Layered Labels 1 and the PPPR Borders 3 to make my next mat.....which became home to that adorable Gator.

Here he is up close :) I am so LOVING him and can see using him for much more than birthday items! Since his party hat come with the file but didn't have the frill (the hat is actually supposed to go behind his eyes)  I ended up adding the frill to the bottom of it using a piece from the Party Items.

Then for the sentiment I used My Creative Time~ Teeny Tag Greetings die and sentiment, a black button from my stash and some Grape Limeade Trendy Twine. So what do you think of my card???

Feel Better Soon + GIVEAWAY...{My Craft Spot GD}

Morning Everyone!!!

(if you are looking for my 3GJ DT project please click HERE or scroll down to the next post)

I am so excited you stopped by today because I can not wait to share my project with you!
Recently I was asked by Kimberly from My Craft Spot to be a Guest Designer over on her blog!
I am beyond honored that she asked and I had a blast playing with one of her newer stamp sets~
Here is my project....I really hope you like it!

Recipe on how I made this...
~ I started my project by using my Silhouette Cameo to cut the pieces of the tissue box holder I found online here using Kraft cardstock and designer paper from Queen & Co.
~Once all my pieces were cut, I stamped the front panel with the too cute sentiment~ "Heard you're sick as a dog!" from the Feel Better Soon  stamp set as well as using the cute "Achoo!" from that same set stamped right by where the tissues come out.

~Next I used the August SOTM set as well as the matching SVG's  from Peachy Keen Stamps for the puppy, bone and dog tag. Once die cut on white cardstock and stamped on Kraft cardstock and cut out, I went about gluing the layers, adding some white gel pen to the puppy, the stamped sentiment from the Feel Better Soon and a pattern paper collar.
~It was now time to assemble the tissue box, but before I did that, I ran each of my mats through my sewing machine for alittle more embellishing.
~Finally I finished my box by adding a some new Trendy Twine in Lemon Peppermint wrapping it around my mat two times and tying my dog tag to it in a bow.

Thank you so much for stopping by today,
 I hope you have enjoyed my project!

 I hope you will stop by Kimberly's Blog - My Craft Spot to see her fun stamps, dies and ribbons. Be sure to check out the stamps because I have a GIVEAWAY for you!
Kimberly has generously offered a free set of stamps for me to give away!   How awesome is that?
Here's what you need to to:

1) Stop by My Craft Spot and check out all the stamp sets Kimberly has to offer
2) Choose your favorite set
3) Come back here and leave me a comment telling me your choice
That's it...easy!
 I'll choose a random winner on Tuesday September 17th

Before I say goodbye and have a GREAT day, I want to thank Kimberly for letting me play with her fun stamps! I had a GREAT time being a Guest Designer!!!

Let's Celebrate.....{3GJ}

Morning and Happy Friday everyone!!!
I have a fun and easy Celebration project to share for
3 Girl JAM
that also fits our current challenge going on all month long!
So as a reminder the challenge is
Celebrations
because we are celebrating 3GJ's 2nd Birthday!
So we want to see any project you make that celebrates something!!!
And here is what I made...
I LOVE stamping on the Muslin Bags you can pick up in the 3GJ store. They make great gifts for packaging all those fun treats and are so super easy to embellish with some of your favorite stamps and of course ribbon :)
So using one of my favorite new stamps from My Creative Time~Build a Chevy Background I stamped first the thicker chevron using Stazon Black ink and then the smaller dotted chevron using Fired Brick Distress ink.  Then using the Let's Celebrate stamp set for the sentiment, I again stamped using the Stazon Ink.
When I make these, I always pull out the rope ties that come with the bag so I can add my 3GJ ribbon instead. Using a combo of Holly Berry Crinkle Ribbon and Sunflower Crinkle Ribbon I threaded the ribbon through to tie in a bow on the side.
Then using the party die from My Creative Time along with the new color of Trendy Twine~ Cherry Lemonade, I added them to my ribbon bow and tied them all together.

I sure hope you have enjoyed my project and will play along with us over at the
Remember you have all month to share those
Celebration
 projects
Thanks so very much for stopping by!!
Have a GREAT Friday!!
