To a Fungi~ PKS Challenge 13-10

Hey everyone!!!

Popping in later than normal with a card to share for this week's PKS challenge.

This week's challenge was this beautiful photo and color 

So for my card I used the colors as my inspiration as well as the great outdoors

and came up with this card.

Ha! Isn't he just the cutest "fungi" with his Peachy Keen face :)

I always find making manly cards to be so hard and never seem to have enough on hand so when I saw the color combo and the nature scene I remembered downloading this cutie schroom from SVG Cutting Files and knew he would look adorable with some peachy goodness. 

For his adorable face I used the Pile's of 1" Smiles (PK-146) and added some white gel pen to his teeth and eyes and a red gel pen for his tongue.

The paper is actually Christmas paper from Recollections~ Holly Day Wishes. The colors couldn't have been a better match for the inspiration photo.

My sentiment is from Joy's Life~ Wild Life Puns stamp set. Such a cute stamp set with adorable sentiments! I tend to forget to look through all my stamps when making a card and this one was perfect for this card!

Finally I couldn't leave my card without some distressing around the edges using Tim Holtz Distress ink in Gathered Twigs and some sewing machine stitching.

So there you have it....a manly card that I am sure will be used sooner than later :)
