Happy Birthday Cupcake!

Happy Sunday Everyone!!
I can not believe that I haven't posted anything since Tuesday...
I was busy with Valentine's Day and the kiddos
had a touch of the whatever bug that is going around
and just in alittle bit of a crafting slump....nothing I created was anything I felt was good enough to post and what I have been crafting that I love is nothing that could be shared yet :)
I was in the crafting mood today after a LONG morning of grocery shopping at Walmart~ my least favorite place to go but the best for all their prices...
AnyWhoo
I was going to save this till tomorrow's post but found tons of challenges to enter this into and I have something awesome to share for tomorrow's post...
So here is my Birthday Card
I was "pinning" (my addiction..LOL) and came across a card I really liked the LO of....I took the general sketch of it and came up with this card....
if you want to see the pinned card you can click here

Details for this card are as followed:
Card stock ~~ Stampers Select White, True Black and Pure Poppy
Sentiment~~ EAD Designs ~Birthday Sentiments
Stamps~~ PSA Essentials ~Whimsical Cupcakes
Dies~~ Spellbinders Labels One
My Creative Time~ Scallop & Stitched Circle
Ribbon ~~ Quick Quotes 7/8" Red/White Dot
Extra's ~~ Copic R29,R39, and C3,C5,C7 for cupcake
White gel pen for doodles
Creative Inspirations Paints in Fairy Dust for
sparkles on cupcake (not sure if you can see it in the picture)

OK....now I have a question for all you bow makers....I struggled forever trying to get my bow to look somewhat decent...how do you all do it? Do you tie it on or glue it to your card?
I love the look of the big thick ribbon but tend to shy away because it always gives me troubles...
HELP!!

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and see you all back tomorrow for our EAD Designs Blog Hop!

  5. The very first thing I noticed on this was your fantastic bow, so whatever/however you do your bows it's working! This is super cute. I have always loved black and red together.
Clear Dollar Stamps is having a "Black & White & Red All Over" Hop & I can't remember if they have a challenge to go with it or not, but if they do you should definitely add this one over there.

  14. Your card is wonderful!! Love the cupcake! If I'm doing a small bow that can be easily twisted around, I always tie it on. If I'm doing a larger or complex bow that I want laying the opposite direction of my flat ribbon- I glue it on. No one will know the difference!

  24. That bow is awesome. It caught my eye immediately. As for my bow tying, I usually hot glue or glue dot my bows on. They lay in the proper direction that way. Is that cheating or using my creativity license. LOL Thanks for joining us at Totally PaperCrafts Ribbons and Bows challenge. **Linda
