A Love Bug Card and Whimsical Wednesday Blog Hop Reminder

Hi everyone!

We have had some wonderful weather here so I have been sitting at the pool with the boys for the past few days!

They are having a great summer....wearing themselves out swimming and hanging with friends and I am catching up on some summer reading and relaxing.

I try hard to get some early morning craftin in or late night creating in so I am sorry these last few posts have been later.

Yesterday I saw Nikki over at MelonHeadz put a test request out using her SVG files. I was able to help her and made 1 of 2 images into a card.

The "love" sentiment is the SVG file Nikki made. I love the way it cut! I added it with the Ladybug from Cheryl's Cute Bugs SVG file from SVGcuts.com. The card base is also from that file.

If you don't know this...or have not been over to Nikki's Blog~ MelonHeadz you really need to make a stop.

She has amazing digi images and is always drawing up something new! I hope she starts with more SVG files.

Friend's LO Page and a Blog Hop Reminder

Morning Bloggers!

I have a very good friend who is in the middle of a battle against breast cancer. Not only is she a one of my good friends but her oldest son is my youngest son's BFF. Her youngest son (who is 5) tells everyone also that my oldest (who is 10) is his BFF. It is really so super cute.

Anyways I made this LO for her to be added to the memory book that is being put together with letters from friends and family, special quotes and pictures.

Each mat has a pull tab that I wrote a special message to her on.

I have TONS of pictures of all the boys and had to pick only 4 which was very hard! We have had some great times with the kids and I chose pictures that best represents the BBF feel between all the boys.

The picture of the boys in their baseball uniform has got to be my favorite of them. My little guy is the one on the right and when you look at them they could almost pass as brothers. They are basically the same size, have the same personality and Jake, my son's BFF has gotten Parker so into baseball that now that is all Parker wants to do :)

They even play on the same ball team and both will be playing in the All Star Game this weekend.

That special friendship bond which I hope will last forever!!

Harry Potter Journal for my Son

Morning everyone!

I have a quick post that has been scheduled....I am enjoying the sunshine at the lake and having a blast hanging and swimming and fishing with the kids.

I will have pictures to share on Tuesday from the weekend :)

I made a Harry Potter Journal for my son who is a HUGE fan

The Paper came in a pack with the embellishments from Creative Imaginations.

The journal I picked up from Joanne's on clearance for $1.

Morning Everyone!!

Well it is the start of the Holiday weekend and we are getting ready to spend it at the lake. The weather is going to be nice so that should make for a fun filled weekend!

But I have some EXCITING news to share! Stephanie over at Whimsical Wednesdays has asked to me stay on the DT for another term. I am so excited and so very grateful! I just love this challenge site...we have excellent challenges, amazing projects linked up every week and the sweetest DT members! I want to share a card I made for my Nephew's 1st birthday. It is today and yesterday I posted the canvas wall hanging I made for him. This is the card to go along with his birthday present.

I used paper from DCWV~The Playtime Stack and Changito Bday Stamps.

I used 2 pieces of the same paper from the stack, one for the base and then cut the monkey from the other. I attached him on top of the base with foam dots.

The sentiment was stamped on the same paper and also attached with foam dots. I added stitching around the sentiment to match the monkey and vines which were already on the image.

There are some candi's in the corner in green which lucky for me are the same color.

I love how this turned out....a simple cricutless card for my favorite little monkey :)

Canvas Wall Hanging for my Nephew~~Create a Critter Monkey

Hi Everyone!

I hope you all are having the start of a fun filled holiday weekend!

I know we will....friends and family, swimming and fishing and lot and lots of food!!

I have a quick post for tonight...My nephew turns 1 tomorrow and my sister and brother-in-law just moved into a new house.

I wanted to make a sign for Caleb's room and he loves Monkey's!

This is very simple but I think it came out so super cute!
