So before I show you my card for today's post I want to share some GREAT news!

Yesterday my son's baseball team~The Nationals had a game. They play so well together but have only won 1 game and have lost the other 4. The kids are so fine with not winning (even though they want to) what makes it great is they are such a great bunch of kids. Very encouraging and always complementing each other on a job well done.

So last night before the game my son tells me he is going to hit the ball (they use a machine and it is his first year on the machine) and catch the ball in outfield.

I said great..go for it!

Well wouldn't you know he did hit the ball...a GREAT hit non the less. But wait it gets better!

He is playing 2nd base and wouldn't you know a fly ball comes his way....the bases are loaded and the other team has 2 outs. They are also up by a run. We all watch the ball as my son not only catches it...tags the runner coming to second with the ball and tags the base getting the player on second going to third out also.

~~A TRIPLE PLAY~~

We are all screaming...I have tears in my eyes..it was the most exciting minute of baseball their team has had.

To make it even better the coach comes running out, picks him up and twirls him around... all the while his entire team circles him and high fives him.

It was truly an amazing moment for him and such a proud moment for us!

And yes they ended up winning 9-4 :)

More good news....my Memorial Day card I made for the Kraft Journal was chosen as a top 3 challenge winner...Woo Hoo!!

Ok so now onto my card for today.

I made this card for the Papercraft Star Challenge #49- Sketch

I used kraft cardstock for the base and Jillibean Soup Pattern Paper. The Flowers are from the Paisly Cartridge and they are cut at 2.5"

The sentiment is from My Creative Time~This & That set.

I used my white gel pen for some details around the flower petals

Memento ink in rich cocoa for the sentiment and Tim Holtz distress ink in peeled paint for some sponging around the pattern paper and flower petals

Also added are some pop dots to the sentiment to give it some wave.

Simple Birthday Card with All Scraps

Hi Bloggers!

I was blog hopping and came across a post that made a similar card using scraps I believe. For the life of me I can not find that blog or the post so if your posted something like this let me know and I can credit your idea here :) Found it with the help of a fellow blogger!
This idea was scraplifted from Tara over at Homemade Happiness.

I was cleaning up my scraps today, cutting down odd pattern paper scraps for card layers and with the other pieces cutting out circles.

The ones for this card are 1 1/2". And I was also able to cut 1" circles. So now I am determined to make lots of cards using all my scraps!!

The sentiment is from the 1$ bin at Michaels and the flowers and brads are again from my stash.

A VERY simple card!!

"Together is the Nicest Place to Be"~~ LadyBug Card

Hi bloggers!!

What a busy day it has been here. The weather was beautiful so my husband and I got tons done outside. Unfortunately for me...alittle too much sun :(

My sunburned shoulders will not be happy with me tomorrow.

I did put together this card for the BugBites~ Grillin' and Chillin Bug Hop Part 2.

I cut the ladybugs from Create a Critter and used my Unity Stamp for the sentiment.

Since I made my first twisted easel card I have been addicted! I just love the way these turn out.

With that being said, I made another :)

This one is for The Kraft Journal- Memorial Day Challenge

I used kraft cardstock for the base, Stand and Salute Cartridge for the cuts and a free digi download from Paper Smooches.

Hope you like this one.

I think I will change it up for tomorrow and make something other than an easel card.

Quick post~~ Birthday Girl card w /PKS

Hi Bloggers!
I have a quick post for tonight. I went on a school field trip today with my son's 2nd grade to the Lockport Locks on the Erie Canal.
It was alot of fun..we got to ride the boat through 2 locks and visit the museum but boy am I tired!!

This card was made for a friend for a 5 year olds birthday. She is a princess...a very girly girl.

The cut is from PDDU and I added stickles and used my irock for some bling.
There is some white gel pen stitching and bakers twine for the extras.
The birthday sentiment is from MPS and the face is PKS.
Sorry for the short post...I will be back tomorrow :)

Whimsical Wednesday LO Challenge~~ Fun in the Sun~~

It is that time again...another Whimsical Wednesdays Challenge!

This weeks challenge is Fun in the Sun~ create a summer LO with some stamping.

I have so many pictures from trips to the beach that are still sitting in my computer.

This challenge was perfect to search through the photos and make a page!

Last year we went to Myrtle Beach for our March break. When we got there is was still chilly but sunny and the boys could hang on the beach and play...thus the sweatshirts

This LO was an idea that was brewing in my head for some time, yet it seems I have a hard time translating it to paper.

The idea was there, just after playing with it for a while it came together.

The paper is DCWV- The Endless Summer Stack. I picked this up on clearance with the intention of using but haven't had the need until now. The paper in this pack has many different textures, glittery pages and plain pages. I choose this one for the waves :)

The sun was cut using my gypsy and moving the image over the edge using the Life's a Beach Cartridge as well as the flowers. I used foam dots to raise the flowers.

The stamping on this LO is a mix between me using my Inkadinkado curly q alphabet letters and my Hero Arts journaling tag stamp. The Fun in the Sun stamp I found in the dollar bin at Joannes.
