Now onto my project....
Today I am sharing a fun interactive card using the set~ 
Framed

I made a spinner card that my kiddo's pictures will be put into and given to their grandparents!

How fun is this???

I used the file from the Silhouette store and altered it just a bit so that the picture frame fit perfectly. I stamped all the my images on the dp and paper pieced the white on the camera. Added some glossy accents to those parts and attached it to the card front.

This is such a fun card to make and I know it will be adorable once the boys pictures are in there as well :)

EAD Designs Farewell Blog Hop :(

 Monday was our official last blog hop but the DT got together and decided to end the month and the last day of EAD Designs and share another blog hop :(

It was a comment prize I won and I have been hoarding it since last year...LOL
I thought with Thanksgiving just around the corner I would make a shadow box using this adorable sentiment..

I have to say I am very happy with the way this came out! Since I host Thanksgiving at my house every year I plan on putting the festivities photo's in here. There is room on both sides for a 3x3 photo!

For my project today I am sharing the treat bags I made for my youngest son to share with his class.

 Here is a single one up close....The adorable cut file came as a freebie from my friend Lisa

over at

  Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon

I just re sized it to fit the small treat bags I had and it worked awesome,

enough room to hold my piece of candy!

Here is the sentiment up close...I used CI Paints~ Deliquesce Embossing Powder

with the sentiment from My Creative Time's~ Treats for My Sweets

Happy Gobble Day w/3 Girl Jam

Good Morning Blogger and 3 Girl Jam Fan's!!

It is my day to share my DT project with you all both here and over on the 3 Girl Jam blog!

I know we have yet to make it out of October, and we all still have pumpkins, ghosts and candy on the brain but I have the first of many Thanksgiving cards to share...using one of my favorite Fall colors of

Crinkle Ribbon~ 

Hot Chocolate from the Hot & Cold Bundle

Isn't this ribbon perfect with my too cute and very colorful Turkey :)

Here is a close-up of the bow....

I tied it twice, one on top of another and then added a brad that I made to the center.

So you probably want to know how I made that right???

Very simple actually....I had these brads that came from a kit and the design on the top was a sticker, so I peeled it off, punched a small circle of matching designer paper and glossy accented over the top...TaDa! Done and Done and in LOVE with how easy it was to do!

I am now on the lookout for more large brads to alter :)

I have a DT project to share for 

The Alley Way Stamps

this one using October's new release~

It's Fall About You

A CAS card with just pops of those fall colors!

I stamped the leaf several times on white card stock using Tim Holtz Distress ink in

Gathered Twigs, Forest Moss, Rusty Hinge and Peeled Paint.

I then stamped the same leaf using the corresponding color on the colored card stock and trimmed them out.

Here is a close-up of the sentiment...

I used the "thankful" from It's Fall About You

and stamped it over the sentiment from the Jibber Jabber set

This is my second post for today...
The first one was sharing a very special award I received from my friend Shirl....

Now for my project.....
I wanted to make a card to share using these colors and sketch for this week's 
Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge~ another challenge I am getting in right under the deadline..LOL!


So here is what I came up with.....


I turned the sketch on it's side and went from there! I really loved this spider web mat from the Silhouette store but only wanted the edge so I played around, brought out my eraser and eliminated all the parts I didn't want. Wow what a cool machine and I know I have only scratched the surface of what it can do!!

Good Morning!

has given me an awesome award and as I sit here writing this post I am looking out the window and watching the heavy rain fall wishing for the beautiful sunshine...

1.Where did my blog name come from?

LOL~~ We raise chickens, they are part of our family, our pets and since I love paper the name Chick -n- Scrap was born

2. Favorite thing to do besides crafting?

Reading! I love to jump into a GREAT book

3. What is my favorite type of book to read?

Nothing like a good love story...and then the occasional murder mystery

4. What is my favorite color?

it changes depending on my mood

5. What is the last movie I watched?

Eat Love Pray~ love that movie...it was on TV the other night!

6. What do I do on the weekends?

Since I have 2 boys that play different sports we are usually at one of the fields, right now it is football, soon to be basketball as well :)

7. What is one place I would LOVE the visit?

Would love to go to Australia

8.What is one of my best qualities?

I LOVE my friends and family and I am always willing to help out ...downside...I have a hard time saying no sometimes, don't want to hurt anyone's feelings 

9.Biggest Pet Peeve?

Being fake...drives me crazy! 

10. Biggest Accomplishment?

My family! Love my husband and kiddo's more than words can say
