My Creative Time 32nd New Release Blog Hop

Good Morning and Welcome to the much anticipated 32nd New Release from
My Creative Time!

This week has been so much fun with the DT sharing amazing projects and inspiration! But we have one more day of AWESOME~NESS!

You should be coming from the VERY talented
Candace
but if you are just stopping in, make sure to head back to the start~ the AMAZING
Emma
You are not going to want to miss a thing!

For my project today, I used 2 of the new sets~ Hey Sailor! and the matching Anchors & Heart Dies and paired them up with some of my favorite other dies to make this adorable 3D boat. I really hope you like it!
(it is picture heavy so enjoy all the angles...LOL!)
Alittle background on this....My inlaws have a summer home on the lake which we love spending time at. They have this older fishing boat that my husband grew up on and has been in the family for many many years. Hours upon hours are spent on this boat fishing so when I saw some of the sentiments from the new Hey Sailor! stamp set, I knew that making something for the cottage would be a perfect. So I give you the boat~ rightly called the "Queen"
Isn't it so fun? I used a file from SVG Cutting Files~ Fishing Boat Container for the boat and then added my embellishments using of course all my MCT goodies!!! I will take you step by step to share it with you.
Our boat at the lake is named the "Queen" and it is an aluminum one so I used some designer paper from Doodlebug Designs~Patriotic Parade and die cut the name using the Lowercase Fun Dies.
Here is one of the new sentiments from the Hey Sailor! stamp set and I stamped it onto the Vintage Stitched Label Die banner.
Another sentiment also from the new Hey Sailor! stamp set and again I made the flag using the Vintage Stitched Label Die banner. Attaching it to a fun decorative straw that I picked up at Michaels.
Here is one of the new dies from the Anchor & Heart Dies set. I die cut it using white card stock and then stamped the matching stripes using some Tim Holtz Distress ink. I added a smaller heart die from the Stitched Sweetheart & XOXO Dies in navy cardstock and then added a thick hemp rope bow.
Finally I added one of my FAVORITE new dies~ the larger of the two anchors from the Anchor & Heart Dies to the side of my boat, wrapping more of the hemp rope around it. It is such a GREAT size and so much fun to use!

So there is my project...what do you think? I really hope you like it, I had so much fun putting it together!

My Creative Time Sneak Peek Day 4

Good Morning and
Welcome to Day 4 of sneaks for the new
My Creative Time 32nd Release!
Today is the last day of sneaks before tomorrow's blog hop and release!!
I know you are all super excited for that!!!!!

Today we are showcasing the new sets~
Live Love Laugh & Be Happy,  Pretty Butterflies Dragonfly dies, and Social Media dies

For today's project I made a home decor project, something that I will set on my crafty desk because...well the sentiment is just PERFECT! I hope you like it!
On one of my trips to Michael's I found this adorable chalkboard easel in the dollar bin. I picked it up not knowing what I would use it for but knowing eventually it would come in handy. I really love the way this turned out and like I said above the sentiment is just PERFECT...definitely words to live by :)

Using the sentiment from the Live Love Laugh & Be Happy set, I stamped it onto the center of my chalkboard using some colorbox ink. Before stamping it, I took some chalk and rubbed it onto the chalkboard, wiping it off so it gave the chalkboard a worn look. The ink has that chalkboard look and the sentiment looks AMAZING on it...don't you think?

Then for the butterflies, I used 2 of the new dies from the Pretty Butterflies Dragonfly dies and cut them using some Lawn Fawn designer paper. Using the matching stamps for the dies, I stamped a pattern onto both butterflies using some Tim Holtz distress ink in colors that matched the designer papers.
Some added bling to the butterflies and to the frame of the chalkboard and my project was ready to be displayed on my desk!

My Creative Time 32nd Release!
Isn't this new release AWESOME so far????? Well there is so much more!!!!!
Today we are showcasing the new sets~
Anchors & Heart Dies, Make a Splash Die, & Hey Sailor

While shopping for papers for this new release, I came across the perfect one for this set~ MME~Now and Then and I knew I just had to use it for the AWESOME anchor die!! It is one of 2 in the new Anchors & Heart Dies set and that anchor is just amazing. I die cut it using some PTI card stock and then popped it up onto my anchor paper. Then for the waves....which are oh so fun...I used again some PTI card stock and the Make a Splash Die adding it to the bottom of my card.
With some white May Arts jute from Sparkly Sweet Craft Notions I attached my sentiment using a shortened die cut of the Just Simply Live Stamp and Die set and the new Hey Sailor stamp set.

My Creative Time Sneak Peek Day 2

Good Morning and
Welcome to Day 2 of sneaks for the new
My Creative Time 32nd Release!
Today we are sharing projects using the new sets...
Lost at Sea & Stripey Background

I had so much fun playing with these sets that I made 2 different cards to share today....
For my first card I used the new Stripey Background, some Tim Holtz distress ink and some clear embossing powder to make my red, white and blue background. Then using the fun sentiment (one of MANY) from the Lost at Sea stamp set, I stamped it in between the bottom blue layers.  Using one of the circle dies from yesterday's sneak~ Bunch of Fun Circles, I die cut it in kraft cardstock and placed it behind the fun porthole die, also from the Lost at Sea set. I added some gold brads to the holes and then layered it onto the kraft circle. Using my cameo and an SVG from SVG Cutting Files~Kawaii Transportation, I cut out the ship and popped it up inside the porthole. It did have the adorable kawaii face, but I hid it so it was just the ship.
To finish up my card I added a fancy knot using some thick hemp twine and some white gel pen dots to the ship.

For my next card, I again used the Lost at Sea stamp and die set, this time using both of the layers of the porthole die and inside the hole adding the waves, sailboat and seagull from the stamp set. Again I added some brads to the holes on the porthole and popped that layer up using some foam dots.
The sentiment is another one from this set and I stamped it onto the die from the Just Simply Live Stamp and Die set. Some machine stitching to the border and another fancy knot and my card was completed.

Well there are my sneaks for today. I hope you have enjoyed them!!!!
Make sure to check out what the rest of the DT has made using these new sets over on Miss Emma's blog HERE!
They are AWESOME!!!

Good Morning and
Welcome to Day 1 of sneaks for the new
My Creative Time 32nd Release!

Today we are sharing projects using
Speech Bubble Sentiments w/die set, Bunch of Fun Circles and the Build a Scripty & Watercolor Background

For my card I use the current sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch

and made this birthday card for my son's best friends little brother.
The birthday boy is turning 10 so I wanted to keep the card fun and colorful so I used papers from Echo Park and the AWESOME new Bunch of Fun Circles dies. I know these dies will be getting TONS of use!!! I just LOVE all the different sizes that Emma has put together for this set! Then for the "hello" die cut and the "birthday boy" sentiment, I used the new Speech Bubble Sentiments w/die set. Finally for a few randomly placed sequins and my card was done.

So what do you think? I know you will all LOVE these new stamps and dies!
 They are so much fun!!

Thrifty Thursday w/MCT and a Winner!

Good morning everyone and welcome to
My Creative Time's Thrifty Thursday.
A day set aside to share any type of project using our scraps/leftovers or recycling items using My Creative Time stamps and dies!

With the upcoming Memorial Day weekend, I thought for my project today I would use up some of my Red, White and Blue card~stock scraps to a make a card in honor of  all those brave men and women who fight every day to keep us safe.
I hope you like it.....
For my card I started with a navy blue card~stock base and following the sketch for the current CASE(E) this Sketch (pic down below) went about cutting my layers. I recently picked up this beautiful star vellum paper and couldn't wait to give it a try. After cutting my white and red card~stock down to size, I added a piece of the star vellum as an overlay and stitched it to the white and red card~stock layer.
Placing those layers aside, I stamped my sentiment from the Happy Homecoming stamp set and then heat embossed it using some white embossing powder from Creative Inspirations Paint.
I then attached my card~stock mat to the front of my card. Finally I die cut some Stitched Stars in the matching papers, attached them to my card front using some foam pop dots and added a few randomly placed sequins.

So what do you think?????
Making projects with all those scraps has never been easier...LOL! Especially with the adorable MCT dies and stamps!

Supplies Used:
Paper~ Navy, White, Red scraps
Vellum~Boys Rule (unknown manufacture)
Stamps~ My Creative Time~Happy Homecoming
Dies~ My Creative Time~3 Star Stitched Dies
Embellishments~ Sequins, Sewing Machine
white embossing powder

Good Morning and Welcome to the Trendy Twine
"We Like You A Latte" Blog Hop

For my project I made some Coffee Body Scrub....it smells SO good and made my hands smooth as can be...LOL! Here is my project, I hope you like it!
I spent a lot of time searching the internet looking for a good coffee scrub recipe. I found quite a few and tried out one of them. For some reason, mine did not turn out the way the picture in the recipe looked (it was WAY to liquidy) so it was back to the drawing board for another one. Then after searching some more, I decided to make my own using all the ingredients that were in these other recipes...just making it to the consistence I wanted.

Here is what it consists of:
Sugar, fresh coffee grounds and coconut oil
I mixed the sugar and coffee first and then added the coconut oil, mixing it all together until I got it just the way I wanted it.
Once I was happy with how it turned out, I put my mixture into a small mason jar and went to embellish it with some new Trendy Twine goodies.... First using those AWESOME new Wooden Spoons. They are perfect by themselves OR you can do what I did and stamp a sentiment onto the handle. Here I used the My Creative Time~Fun Gift Pocket Sentiments and some Versafine Onyx Black Ink
Then for my tag I used the My Creative Time~ Just Tags die and stamped the adorable coffee cup from the September SOTM set from Peachy Keen Stamps. I colored in the coffee and added some light highlighting to the cup using my copic markers and then stamped the sweet face using the Sweet & Innocent Face Assortment from Peachy Keen Stamps as well. Alittle chalk, copic and white gel pen doodles and this was one CUTE coffee cup! To finish my project up, I tied some of the new (and totally AWESOME) Cherry Latte Trendy Twine around the lid of my jar, placing the wooden spoon behind my tag.

BLOG CANDY
