Try Me Tuesday w/ MCT

Morning everyone and welcome to the very first
Try Me Tuesday with My Creative Time
The goal of this segment is to share new techniques that maybe you have yet to try using
My Creative Time stamps and dies too.

For the first Try Me Tuesday the MCT DT is using the Dry Embossing.
I LOVE using embossing folders on projects. The different patterns give so much to any project. So for my card I made this cute inspirational card.
Hope you like it!
I had this fun Queen & Co Disney paper that I thought went perfectly with the Stars embossing folder I used. To hide where the pattern paper meets, I added some Black Twill Tape ribbon and 2 glittery brads to either side.
For the sentiment, and my focal point of the card, I used one of my FAVORITE die sets from My Creative Time. The Scallop and Stitched Circle Die. I used the stamp set that matches the dies~All Around Everything~ for the sentiment and then die cut a star for the center using the same matching pattern paper and the smallest of the 3 Star Stitched Dies

I sure hope I have inspired you to bring out your embossing folders.
Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the DT made!
I know the inspiration is AWESOME!!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT day!!!

Super EXCITING News!!!!!

Morning again everyone!
If you are looking for my Made In Minutes post w/ MCT please click HERE.

I have some super EXCITING news to share....
I am kinda still in shock myself over this news...
and
I have had to keep it a secret for a while now too....

So are you ready????

I was asked to join the Peachy Keen Stamps DT!
EEEKKKK how exciting right!!!
I am such a HUGE PKS fan!!! I play along with ALL of their challenges and participate in all of their awesome blog hops....
So now I get to be a part of it all as a new DT member!

I wanted to share a new card I created just for this announcement.
I used the new January SOTM kit and the sketch from last week's Mojo Monday to make this....
Such a fun card, don't you think??? And a perfect masculine birthday card too!
To put my card together, I again followed the sketch from last week's Mojo Monday

and used designer papers from My Mind's Eye~Lime Twist paper pack.
I did use my Cameo to cut out the circle and the matching SVG's from PKS~exclusive to Stamp of The Month Kit subscribers. The sentiment was stamped on the Vintage Stitched Label Die from My Creative Time.
 I paper pieced the adorable tea cups using the matching papers from the paper pack as well as stamped one of the CUTE new faces from the kit.
The too cute chef with adorable stash was colored using my copic makers and then glued to the circle mat. I did pop up the tea cups to give a little more dimension the image.
Finally I added some Totally Natural Trendy Twine and tied it in a bow off to the side.

I hope you have enjoyed my card! I am so excited to share many more projects with you using all the ADORABLE PKS!!
Since I love linking my projects up on different challenges, I am going to play along with the following...

Made in Minutes......w/ MCT

Good Morning and welcome to
My Creative Time's~ Made In Minutes!

The MCT DT will be sharing quick and easy projects using MCT stamps and dies that you can recreate in no time. Make sure to check out My Creative Time for all the other Made In Minute projects!

For my project I made some sweet treat envelopes/cards and I made them for a few different holidays. I actually made 3 more but didn't have a chance to photograph them...that is how fast and easy this project was.
From start to finish each treat took about 10 minutes....with the longest time being picking out papers :)
I have included several pictures of each with the product description linked below each one.
I hope you like them!!
Here are the 3 that I made...
a Fall one, A Valentine's Day one and a Halloween one.

And here are the backs so you can see the fun closures that are included with the Scallop Stitched Envelope Die that was used to make these. Each envelope was then closed using some Trendy Twine in either the Totally White or Totally Natural

And here are the cute cards that are added inside each envelope. As you can see the cards hold a chocolate perfectly!!!
I will walk you through each one so you can get a closer look.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Valentine's Treat
Need a quick and easy Valentine's Day card to give to a neighbor, teacher, friend??? Well these are PERFECT! As you can see I added a Ghirardelli chocolate to the 3x4 stitched journal card. I only had a Christmas one so for sake of the picture I added that (and then I ate it...LOL)
Supplies Used:
Halloween Treat
And here is the one I made for Halloween. MCT has so many fun stamps and dies that picking just one sentiment to add to the journal die was so hard :) So I went basic...LOL!
Supplies Used:
Fall Treat
And here is my Fall one. Don't you just love the papers!!!
Supplies Used:
I think my Made in Minutes turned out pretty good :) They were so fun to make that I kept making them. All the papers I used for these came from my scrap stash so these are perfect for using up all that beautiful designer paper!
Make sure to check out the other DT member's projects over on Emma's blog~
My Creative Time.
I can not wait to see all the FAB projects everyone made!!!
Exciting News!!!.........{Seize The Sketch #12}
Good Morning everyone!!!
I have some exciting news to share!!
I know some of you know how much I love working with card sketches.....
AND
I play along with Seize the Sketch challenges as much as I can....
WELL
Design Team Badge
I was asked to join the DT!! The announcement was made yesterday HERE
So for my first post as a new DT member, we are using this sketch
and here is the Valentine's Day card I made with it!
The designer papers are from Carta Bella~Devoted paper pack and I added some machine stitching to the border.
All the stamps and dies come from My Creative Time~
I used the 100% Sweetness Stamp set with the matching heart die for the sentiment, heart die cut and matching  "love" pattern on the heart. I did heat emboss the heart to give it some more texture and really make the wording pop on the card.
I layered the banner~ which comes from the Vintage Stitched Label Dies onto the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die and added some Totally White Trendy Twine which I stitched to the pattern paper layers.
So what do you think???
I hope you like my card and will play along with the new challenge!
Make sure to head on over to the Seize The Sketch blog to see what the other DT members created with this sketch and for all the details on how you can play along.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT day!!
Scrapping The Little Things x2.....{MCT Project Life}
Good Morning everyone!!
This is my first "Scrapping the Little Things" post for My Creative Time
where we are sharing Project Life, Smash book or Scrapbook LO's.
I wanted to jump on the PL bandwagon and hopefully get myself motivated to do something with all the pictures I take of my kiddos :)
Here is a little background to this page and the pictures.....
Christmas time here was crazy to say the least....that is weather wise.
Right before Christmas we had a HUGE snowstorm where we got almost 2 feet of snow. While it was beautiful and the kids had fun playing in it, what came after was not fun!
We had a very nice temp warm~up..... but what comes with a warm~up is melting snow.
We live about 100 yards from a very large creek....can you see where this is going???
The snow was melting, the creek was rising and YUP we were flooding. We were on our own little island. The water was completely surrounding our house and the end of the driveway was under 2 feet of water. There was no way we could leave the house...not only because of the water at the end of our driveway but because our street was under water as well as all the surrounding streets. Then to make matters worse, it snowed again...LOL
These are the pictures from after the second round of snow....Look at all that water
 So you all probably know we own chickens....If not now you do :)
We currently have 4 hens and well here is their coop during the flooding.
Mind you their "home" is sitting up 2 feet from the ground, but with all the water we had, it came up to their doorway to their box. So we did a rescue of them and brought them up to our front porch. Yup at 9 pm the night that the water was rising, my husband went into the foot of freezing water to bring them out one by one. I was on the chicken receiving end and carried them up onto the porch.
LOL....here they are the next morning. Totally confused as to why they were there and then upset that it was now snowing. So they were then moved into the garage. Let me back up a sec and explain why they were moved to the porch. We figured they could free range during the day in the yard where there wasn't water and then be high and dry at night. That did not happen :(  With it snowing again we decided to move them again where they would be confined, warmer and stay out of the crazy elements.
Now to move onto my PL page. After the water went down, we had some bitter cold weather. This lead to 2 days of school being cancelled, but also on the flip side, lead to all that remaining water on the side of the house to freeze. So we took advantage of it and made our own ice rink!
When my hubs and the boys went out to play hockey (without skates too) I grabbed my camera and took these pictures
These are the insert cards I made to match the pictures. I left the tags blank for now (cause I do not like my handwriting) but will print out the wording and attach them to the tags.
I used alot of MCT stamps and dies for these tags. All the products will be listed and linked down below. I also embellished with some Totally Sky Trendy Twine, burlap ribbon and some staples to attach the ribbon. The designer paper I used for the cards are all from Carta Bella~Rough and Tumble. LOVE this paper!!!
MCT Products Used:
Stitched Sweetheart & XOXO Dies
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You have stuck with me and my super LONG, picture heavy post so far that I have one more PL page I made. This is the one I used for my DT call for MCT that I did not get a chance to share yet.
I took pictures every week for my son's football season with the hope to put together a book for him. Again this series that Emma does is SO going to get my butt in action to complete it for him before the next season begins...LOL!!
Here are the cards I made...again I will link up all the MCT products I used below.

Emma's journal dies and all her stamps make putting these cards together a breeze! Now I just have to work on taking the pictures of them and getting them to look a little better.

Casey plays football for the Clarence Bulldogs and I was able to get the awesome Annie over at SVG Cutting Files to design the logo for me.  How cool is that??
And if you didnt notice he is number 30 and the team's center. He also plays on the line but his heart and soul is in snapping that ball to the quarterback :)

MCT Products Used:
Stitched Journal Die
Just Simply Live
Type Calendar
Touchdown Stamp Set
Sports Sentiment Stamp Set
Journal It Stamp Set

WOWZERS that was a long post! Thanks so much for sticking around for it all!
Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the DT made!
I know the inspiration is AWESOME!!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT Monday!!!

I started with a file I purchased over at My Scrap Chick. I cut the base using navy Bazzill card stock and layered with designer paper from Pebbles.

Using the Scallop and Stitched Circle Diewhite card stock and the matching navy card stock, I stamped the adorable snowman onto the white card stock. I used Distress Ink for the colored parts and some Totally White Trendy Twine for the cute pom pom for his hat. He is just too cute!!!!

Then for the sentiment, I used the Vintage Stitched Label Die and the sentiment from the same set~ You're So Cool. I added an eyelet to the banner so I could attach it to my package of Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans using some May Arts ribbon.

Well today is the last day of sneaks before the whole reveal tomorrow with our Blog hop!

"Stitched Surprise Pop Out Card"
"Stitched Gift Card Pocket Die"

OMG how much fun is this set!! A total MUST have for sure
(well the whole release is...LOL)
Here is the card I made with these new dies...totally LOVE how this turned out!
Since I have all boys in my house, everything I make tends to be very girly and when I do need a masculine birthday card, I never have any..... until now!! There is just so much you can do with these dies and embellishing it was so fun!

For my card base I used Kraft cardstock and then cut the card again using designer papers from Echo Park~Giddy Up paper pad. I did alot of paper layering with the matching designer papers and just look at Emma's signature stitching.....SO FUN!!!
So when you open the card~ Surprise! There is a a spot for the matching gift card holder. The new Stitched Gift Card Pocket Die.

Here you can see all the GREAT stitching this new Surprise Pop-Out Card Die has.....around the card itself as well as the center piece which holds my birthday sentiment from the Vintage Sentiments stamp set. Don't you just LOVE those stars too???? I used the 3 Star Stitched Dies for those and placed them on my card using pop dots. Lots of fun dimension with this card!

Finally the last sentiment on my card is using the die from the Just Simply Live stamp set and the sentiment from the Gift Card Sentiments stamp set

***Sneak Peek giveaway!***

My Creative Time Sneak Peek Day 3

Good Morning
and
Welcome to Day 3 of sneaks for the new
My Creative Time 29th Release!

Today the DT is sharing projects using the sets~
"Once Upon a Time"
"Stitched Paper Plane Die"
"Plane & Simple"

Here is the fun card I made for today.....

I used a few older My Creative Time dies to put this card together. For the card base, I used the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die. To do this I folded a piece of white cardstock in half and then die cut both layers slightly under the die so when the card opens the top part is closed making the card base. Then using some designer paper, I used the same die and cut the whole 3x4 piece. For the top of the die cut, I used the Fun Stitched Edges to get the paper border. Then I glued the designer paper to my card base to get this fun mini note card.
For the sentiment, I used the new Once Upon A Time stamp set....how fun is this typewrite! And the sentiments that go along with this set are AWESOME!
Finally I added some Totally Black Trendy Twine wrapped around the top of my card and tied in a simple bow.
This would make a great set of cards just to have around~ don't you think???

***Sneak Peek giveaway!***
